The combination of this crystal alabaster head and the limestone separates this figure from reality. The pose of the torso is taunt and straight The graceful movement of the hair releases that energy. I like the contrast!. I love the way the light reflects off the hair. A second level of interest is to explore sea fossils in the limestone body.
