Kore is influneced by early Greek figures from the archaic period called Kores. they wore draped tunis tops called a peplos. I found this piece of wood and as I played with positioning it as a torso , it revealed itself to be a tunic. IMy sculptures have always been influenced by the ancient. this is a modern version of a Greek figure. the alabaster face is simplified into a profile. The flowing hair repeats the shape of the tunic. The body shape is basic. a few details suggest skirty and material.
