Stone and Wood Sculpture Class Offered at My StudioAll levels/ Semi-private

Sculpture Course Description:
The student will get an introduction to stones (limestone, alabaster, soapstone and
marble) or wood. Mini-lectures will be given on buying a stone or wood piece, picking the right subject
, introduction to pneumatic , electric and hand tools and finishing
techniques. Critiques will be given on works in progress and finished. Hands-on
experience carving a sculpture and using pneumatic chisels. When the dust settles, the
student will have created a sculpture. Classes are limited to 5 students so
individual attention can be given. Space is limited so call to reserve your space.You
will be working in a functioning studio with the opportunity to view professional
works in progress and many finished sculptures.
Sculpture Class Time/Location
Classes are two hour sessions once a week starting at on Tuesday evenings 6PM to 8PM at my studio in Atlanta., GA.
Friday AM classes are weekly from 9:30 to noon . My studio is centrally located off Cheshire Bridge/85 near Emory and Lennox Square.
Materials Supplied:
Worktable. Sandbags. Use of Pneumatic tools , and air
compressor. Use of riffle files. Use of glass and loose grit for leveling pieces.
